SUMMARY:Young Professionals - Introductory Call
DESCRIPTION:Many people across our community have identified the need and interest in forming a Young Professionals (YP) group as part of the Colerain Chamber of Commerce. YP groups typically span the 21-40 year old demographic (loosely held) which some people may be approaching the end of or have slightly passed. You or a staff member may be able to benefit from this group and/or be able to help form & lead this effort. We welcome your feedback at our first informational meeting on June 17th at 11:00am.\n\n\n Looking for 3-5 leaders interested in shepherding the group. They are likely in the 35-45 demographic but age is not as important as leadership interest. Are you one of them or can you suggest someone that would have this interest?\n Be sure to give consideration to things like time commitments\, interests and purpose. Oftentimes YP groups start as social or philanthropic initiatives by giving back to the community. They lend themselves to creating emerging leaders either from front line staff\, middle managers or up & coming multi-generational businesses that have thoughts about succession planning. Who among your team would benefit from a group like this? \n This initiative will be lead and supported by the Chamber of Commerce providing financial support and stability. Ultimately\, the idea behind YP groups is that they form their own board under the board of directors of the Chamber\, create a budget of their own and follow the guide of and the will of the YP group itself.\n\n\nIf you are looking to provide input prior to the meeting\, give Dave Moravec a call at 309-838-1947 or email to president@colerainchamber.org.
